E. Brooke Bock, M.D.

Dr. Bock received her undergraduate degree from LSU in May 2001. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed her residency at LSU Health Sciences Center at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans in June 2011. Doctor Bock was the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) delegate for her residency program. She is board-certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Louisiana State Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. She is on active staff of Woman’s Hospital and West Feliciana Hospital. She is also part of the teaching faculty for Baton Rouge General Family Residency Program. Dr. Bock’s practice is located on West Feliciana Hospital’s campus.

Laurie graduated as a RN in 2003. She worked for Woman’s Hospital in the Mother/Baby department for over 15 years working as a bedside nurse, transition nurse, lactation nurse, and charge nurse.  During this time, she received the Nurse Excellence award from the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association. Laurie was a Quality Manager for the Mother/Baby department for two years. In 2012, she returned to school to earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing and became a certified lactation consultant in 2018. She was involved in initiating virtual lactation consults at Woman’s Hospital. She graduated from University of South Alabama in 2016 specializing in pediatric care. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics organization and exhibits compassion and care while using the latest evidence based practices. She is ecstatic to be practicing as a pediatric nurse practitioner and a lactation consultant at St. Francis Pediatrics and work closely with Dr. Bock.

After Hours and Emergencies

If you need to reach Dr. Bock or Laurie Hancock before or after office hours, or on the weekends, call our after hours number at (225) 214-5837. For most conditions, it is best to call us first rather than rushing your child to the Emergency Room. As your child’s primary physicians, we can usually address the problem more efficiently and economically.

For lab results, prescription renewals, appointments, and routine questions after hours, please leave a message and we will return your call on the next business day.
