At West Feliciana Hospital we recognize the importance of education and prevention of breast cancer.
Paint the Town Pink is a fantastic way for our whole community to come together for Breast Cancer support and education each year.
West Feliciana Hospital is asking the community to come together once again to Paint the Town Pink for either a day, a week or the entire month of October to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for Cancer Services of Baton Rouge. They are a non-profit organization that serves the emotional, financial and physical needs of those affected by cancer. All services are free of charge and benefit a 10 parish area that includes West and East Feliciana and Pointe Coupee.
There are many ways you can participate:
Businesses and individuals are asked to decorate and enter our competition to be judged on Friday October 11th. (Please see the entry form attached).
Our local schools, sports teams and clubs are also encouraged to wear pink on October 11th to help create awareness.
West Feliciana Hospital will hold some special Paint the Town Pink events including a “Pink” bake sale on Friday October 4th at Audubon Market and a Paint Party on Thursday October 17th. At each event we will have information about the importance of self breast examinations and yearly mammograms.
Watch our Facebook page for more information and additional events.
