Courtney James, MD.

Dr. Courtney James, Chief of Pediatrics at West Feliciana Hospital, is a dedicated and highly qualified pediatrician with a wealth of experience in providing exceptional medical care to children. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, graduating Cum Laude from Dillard University, and earned her Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica. Dr. James completed her Pediatric internship and residency at Our Lady of the Lake, where her leadership skills were recognized as she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. James has a robust background as a General Pediatrician, having served at Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group and South Central Primary Care Center. Her commitment to pediatric health is further exemplified by her certification from the American Board of Pediatrics and her active membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

In addition to her professional commitments, Dr. James is passionately involved in volunteer work. She has contributed her expertise to organizations such as Prevent Child Abuse, Health Centers in Schools, and the Kigezi Healthcare Foundation, among others. Her dedication to community service and child advocacy highlights her compassionate approach to medicine.
